FAQ

What should a pool set contain?
Essential elements to guarantee clean water and enjoyment:
  • swimming pool,
  • filter unit with pump and skimmer,
  • circulation equipment (skimmer, jets),
  • pool fittings.
Elements to help maintain cleanliness:
  • swimming pool vacuum
  • pool chemistry (pH regulator, multifunctional tabs, shock chlorine) with tester,
  • cover (solar, roller blind, canopy),
  • pool chemistry set,
  • pool accessories: thermometer, telescopic pole, vacuum hose, net.
All of the above are included in our basic offer.
To what level should the pool be filled?
We finish filling the pool when the water level reaches halfway up the skimmer opening so that the water enters and fills the pool. This corresponds to a height of approximately 10-15 cm below the top edge of the pool. Never leave a pool without water. Any ‘overflow’ or too low a level will result in a failure to collect contaminants from the water table into the skimmer.
Does the stated height of the pool refer to the wall or the level of the water surface?
The height stated in the technical data is the overall height of the pool.
How often should we run the filter pump?
The filter set should filter the water a minimum of twice a day. So, for example, if our pool holds 24 000 litres of water and the filter has a capacity of 12 m3/h then the water should be filtered for approximately 4 hours a day. Often customers set time switches for the night. During the day, necessarily while swimming in the pool, the pump must be switched off for safety reasons.
When should the pool filter be flushed?
The pool filter should be flushed when the gauge pointer points to the yellow/red field. If the pointer is on the green field, filter flushing is not required. When the filter is dirty, a weaker flow of water from the pool jets can be observed. Note! It is unacceptable for the pointer of the pressure gauge to reach the red field.
How often does the pool water need to be changed?
The water change in a swimming pool is determined by the size of the pool, the water quality, the intensity of use and the chemicals used by the user. By using pool chemistry regularly and in the right proportions, treating the water with a filter, the water should be clear and clean. In such circumstances, there is no need to change the water during the summer season. Once the pool has been properly prepared for winter, the same water can be safely prepared for the next swimming season.
How do I empty the pool of water?
The most common way is with submersible pumps. The pump drain should be routed to the sewer. A bottom drain can be installed.
What is shock chlorination?
Bump chlorination involves increasing the chlorine level to around 20 ppm to eliminate bacteria and algae. We use them in cases of heavy soiling, e.g. after a prolonged period of untreated water.
Do swimming pools need pool chemicals?
Garden pools require the use of pool chemicals. It keeps the water in our pool cleaner for longer. You will find recommended products in the “Pool chemistry” section.
