DISINFECTION STEP BY STEP

CHEMIA BASENOWA

First step - pH adjustment

The pH value is the most important parameter that influences the effectiveness of the disinfection process. Therefore its size should be controlled and kept constant. The ideal pH range is between 7.0-7.4. Our preparations for increasing the value of this parameter: pH plus granules, pH plus liquid; for lowering: pH minus granules, pH less liquid.

Second step - disinfection

Water in the pool should be a source of well-being and health, and therefore must be safe for those enjoying water fun. Every man bathing in the pool brings particles of organic compounds and thousands of bacteria to the water. Therefore, it is necessary to use a disinfection process that is effective enough to ensure the safety of people using baths. Recommended for chlorine disinfection: Chemochloride T granules 65 and Chemochloride T quick tablets (for rapid disinfection), Chemochloride T tablets 20g, Chemochloride T tablets 200g, Chemochloride T Multifunctional tablets. Chemochloride CH tablets 10g, Chemochloride - Liquid. For oxygen disinfection: Aquablanc O2, Aquablanc A, Active oxygen tablets 20g, Active oxygen tablets 200g, Active liquid oxygen, liquid Aquablanc.

The third step - the fight against algae

Algae are single- or multicellular organisms that produce organic compounds from inorganic chemical compounds in water, which are a source of nutrients found in water and a source of various types of pollutants. They reproduce very quickly and within a few hours are able to cover the slippery layer of the wall, the stairs and the bottom of the pool. It is therefore necessary to inhibit the growth of algae and their elimination from pool water. For this purpose, algaecides should be used. Chemoform Polska systematically recommends the use of quaternary amines in the form of the following preparations: Alba, Alba Super, Antygon Super and Calzelos.

Step four - coagulation and filtration

Some particles of pollution are so small that filters do not have the ability to catch them. In order to remove them, coagulation or flocking agents should be used, which cause the smaller particles to cluster or absorb on the surface of the flocculant. As a result of such treatment, these contaminants remain on the filter and the water will remain clear and clean. We offer the following preparations: Flockfix liquid, Flockfix highly concentrated, Flockfix cartridges.

Step five - maintenance of cleanliness and care of the swimming pool facilities

Maintaining cleanliness of swimming pool facilities and swimming pool basins is very important if we want our swimming pool to meet our expectations and hygiene and sanitary requirements.

CLEANING AND CLEANING MEASURES

Sour For strong dirt, for the first cleaning after the winter break:

Only on open pools: Compactal, Reinfix Rapid, Banisol G - due to the HCl content.

Indoor swimming pools: Keraclin F and Saniblanc - removes limestone and other inorganic sediments.

Lighter pollution:

Banisol S, Randklar S gel alkaline

The first washing after an operational break, strong organic pollution:

Flisan, Randklar, Randklar A gel

Lighter pollution:

Banisol A

THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS APPEARING IN POOLS

Lp
SYMPTOMS
CAUSES
ACTIONS
1

Turbid water

Low content of disinfectant, not proper pH of water, colloidal suspension formed in the basin, brown color of water indicates the presence of iron compounds while black and brown manganese compounds.

Raising the pH to 7.0 - 7.4, raising the chlorine content in the pool basin, intensive shock chlorination, adding a coagulant and filtering.
2

Milky water

The presence of a coagulant in the basin the presence of an un-soluble CaCO3 in the basin.

Adjust the pH to 7.0-7.4 and then filter the water.

3

Green water, slippery walls, local discoloration of the basin

Intensive algae development.

Adjust pH to 7.0-7.4, use algaecide, shock chlorination, topical use of disinfectant in granules (not with foil), mechanical removal of algae, addition of coagulant and filtration of the entire volume of water.

4

Water green - turquoise clear

Traces of copper on coordinating metal parts, this problem may arise when copper sulphate is used as an algaecide.

Shock chlorination, bring the pH to 7.0-7.4, add the coagulant and fresh water, filter the water in the basin.

5

The walls of the pool are rough

Deposition of hard calcium deposits in water, often especially with hard water.

Remove the sediment from the emptied pool, apply acids pool cleaner, maintain the pH value at 7.0-7.4.

6

Smell of chlorine, eye irritation

Bound chlorine in water (chloramines).

Shock chlorination, bring the pH to 7.0-7.4, add fresh water.

7

The water is very puffy

This problem occurs when using a foaming algaecide or the presence of residual winter agent, cleaner in water.

Add fresh water, do not use any cleaning agents.

8

Corrosion

PH value too low, too high redox potential, too high Total dissolved substance concentration (TDS).

Adjust the pH to 7.0-7.4.
